Philippines - Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes officially invades the light flyweight division when he tangles with Mexican Armando Vasquez in a 10-round non-title bout at the St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City on April 9. Nietes going up in weight marks his bid to capture a second world title after reigning as World Boxing Organization (WBO) minimumweight champion for almost four years. A victory by the 28-year-old Nietes, one of the top guns of the star-studded ALA boxing stable, against Vazquez would line him up for a shot at the WBO light-flyweight crown to be disputed by Mexican Ramon Garcia and Colombian Jesus Gelez on April 30
