MANILA, Philippines - YouTube singing sensation Maria Aragon continues to draw attention from personalities all over the world.
After enchanting Lady Gaga and TV star Ellen de Generes, Aragon aka Baby Gaga due to her video rendition of the singer's “Born this Way,” has also managed to impress her singing idols, singer-actress Lea Salonga.The meeting happened in Aragon’s native Winnipeg Canada at The Inn at the Forks on March 17.
As seen on a YouTube video uploaded by Filipinojournal.com, Salonga seemed to have known about the meeting beforehand, whereas Aragon was seemingly in shock. Upon learning whom she was meeting, Aragon uttered an extended, “wow.”
During the meeting, Aragon asked Salonga if she [Aragon] could sing to her the song “Part Of Your World,” which Salonga noted she once used as an audition piece.
After the acapella rendition, Salonga said, "Beautiful...that was gorgeous.”
Salonga’s meeting with Aragon coincided with her scheduled two-night performance at Winnipeg’s McPhillips Street Station. The Tony winner tweeted excitedly about her meeting with Aragon. She also tagged a link to her “Born this way” video.

Aragon’s older sister, Rojuane Aragon was profuse in thanking Salonga, taking to Twitter to communicate directly with the latter.
“Thank you for your time, Maria and our family are very grateful. It was lovely meeting you :) Take care & God bless!”
To which Salonga quickly responded, ” It was great meeting you and your family today!”(MB)
